I am deliberately waiting until Monday to write these lines because it started raining in the neighboring country on Sunday after a very long, dry season. Most people expected river levels to rise, and that is exactly what happened. The river began to rise, and with it came the hope that the flood would bring new, true life to the land.
This moment (event) will also have a significantly more positive impact on my commitment to dealing with the duties awaiting me in the coming week. It is for these reasons that I believe this week is, in some ways, exceptional. I’ll take the liberty of injecting a bit of optimism into the skepticism.
Looking ahead to the coming week, there are currently no major events awaiting me that would be worth special mention. I’m actually looking forward to it a bit, because I’ve been living through a turbulent period lately. This leaves me a little time to sort out my emotions and thoughts about the future.
Of course, what I won’t be able to avoid this week either is “autopilot” mode—the usual responsibilities related to running the household, logistics, raising a child, fulfilling work duties, the gardening, and so on.
In the creative sphere, I’m continuing this week with work on my original art project titled “for sale.” I’m creating sculptures inspired by zoning maps.
At the end of the week, I’ll try to carve out two hours for my traditional “mental wellness” in the form of fishing.
