András Cséfalvay – What are you working on this week?

In recent weeks I have been working on a research-based art project around the nuclear energy and its relationship with religion. I am fascinated by some of the fears and myths about these invisible rays that we construct and add certain mythology to. I have been talking to people, gathering resources and inspiration around the Paks Nuclear Powerplant and some of the villages in the vicinity including Bátaapáti, where some of the nuclear waste is stored in 250m deep manmade tunnels. I am writing a video-opera about how humanity brings down the Sun to the surface of Earth.
