This week I have to take music exams at school, so I’m preparing for those, as well as for my graduation exams, which are also approaching. Additionally, I’m preparing for my concert at the end of February, which will be in Bulgaria with the Bulgarian Radio Orchestra. I will perform as a soloist with two concerto pieces: a Baroque concerto by Telemann, written for recorder and flute, and a contemporary composition. The latter is a work by Marek Pastírik, a composer from Žilina, which he dedicated to me. He wrote it based on a melody by the Italian early Baroque composer Dario Castello. I’ve performed this piece with an orchestra several times before, and it has always been a great experience. I hope this concert will be successful as well.
