ABOUT US
Bázis – Hungarian Association of Literature and Arts in Slovakia is an association for autunomous, independent literature, art and science in Slovakia. Its members are connected to Slovakia and are committed to representing Hungarian literature and art in the broadest sense. The association is committed to the transmission of Hungarian literature to Slovak literature and of Slovak literature to Hungarian literature. It promotes academic and professional discource on contemporary and classical Hungarian and world literature, on artistic and philosophical literature, with special emphasison the works of Hungarian literature and art in Slovakia. It stimulates professional debates, organizes academic meetings, conferences, symposia, workshops, readings, literary and art festivals. Its activities are value-driven and based on discussions, aiming to promote the formulation of individual and group opinion. It is involved in shaping the processes of contemporary literature and literacy.
